More Painting

Nearly finished with one painting. Just starting the next, and an old one touched up a bit.

Doggy

Here's a doggy I sketched yesteray and thought I'd paint it up. My sketch quickly got lost in the paint, but I'm going to try and bring it back a bit. My buddy told me I need to write more in my posts, so I'll try. I think these last couple paintings have really helped me develop skill wise. I'm gaining confidence with each one, and am trying to get better and learn something new. It's starting to feel more natural painting on the computer, and it is very satisfying to me being able to work so quickly and easily. For a long time I've been comparing my progress to the level of professionals (which I think has helped me), but more and more I'm hearing that you should only compete with yourself, constantly trying to improve and become the best you can be(which I'm starting to embrase). But I still can't stop looking at certain artist's work and wishing that I was there already. It's not easy getting to that level, but I'm working on it. Every painting I feel like I'm getting closer. Thanks for stopping by!

Getting closer to being done.

speedpaint

a slightly overdeveloped speedpainting. 1.5 hours.

Here are some new characters for my Flash short film. And a character painted under the influence of Todd Harris- his alligator painting anyway.
